Crowdfunding Law in Tunisia: How the CMF Framework Works
Six years after Law 2020-37, Tunisia's equity crowdfunding rules are complete and the first platform licence has been granted. Here is what founders need to know.
Donation-based crowdfunding platform for social and environmental impact projects
CnBees is a Tunisian crowdfunding platform that finances projects through donations and gifts only, not loans or equity. According to an interview with co-founder and CEO Jaouher Mghirbi published by La Presse in June 2026, the project launched in August 2022, the company filed for approval in May 2024 and obtained it from the Autorité de contrôle de la microfinance (ACM), which supervises donation crowdfunding under Law 2020-37, in December 2025. CnBees describes itself as Tunisia's first approved crowdfunding platform; it was also granted the Startup Act label in April 2026. It focuses on projects with social and environmental impact, including the green, blue and circular economies and the social and solidarity economy. The company says contributions do not sit with CnBees but go through dedicated accounts held with a partner bank, which it has not named. At the time of the interview it said it had selected more than 200 projects through regional campaigns in nine governorates and expected its first funded projects in the third quarter of 2026. Its partners include the Tunisian Scouts, the National Council of Women Entrepreneurs, the CDC and APII, according to the company. Its funding and user figures have not been disclosed.
No disclosed funding rounds.
