Konnect Networks is a Tunis-based payments company founded in 2021 by Amin Ben Abderrahman. It started as a payment gateway for Tunisian merchants, accepting local and international cards, e-Dinar postal cards and its own wallet through payment links, e-commerce plugins and an API. The company says it was the first to receive a payment facilitator licence from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT); under BCT guidelines published in January 2024, facilitators must work with a licensed acquirer. By 2026 its website presented Konnect mainly as payment infrastructure for banks, payment institutions and telecom operators: white-label wallets and ledgers, agent-network tools, remittance connectors, KYC and reconciliation. The company names Tunisie Telecom's Kashy wallet and the payment institution Viamobile as production clients; press coverage of Kashy's launch does not mention Konnect, so that role rests on the company's account. Launch Base Africa reported a $1.5 million round in December 2024 involving Attijariwafa Ventures, Renew Capital, Digital Africa Ventures and others, after an earlier investment from Digital Africa's Fuzé programme. In May 2025 Wamda reported a round including Attijariwafa Ventures, Visa and Utopia Capital Management, without an amount. The company has claimed rapid growth, which we could not verify independently.
