About

Axe Finance is a software company founded in 2004 that automates lending and credit risk processes for banks and other lenders. It was founded by Tunisian entrepreneur and software engineer Dhafer Berrachid, initially to provide consulting to European banks; Wamda reported in 2011 that he had moved the company from France to Tunis, from where it served clients in the Middle East, North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, with STB among its early software clients. Its flagship product, the Axe Credit Portal (ACP), covers the credit lifecycle from KYC and origination to scoring, automated decisions and servicing, for retail, commercial, corporate, financial-institution and sovereign lending. The company says ACP also supports microfinance, buy now pay later, embedded finance, Islamic finance and green loans, and can be deployed on premises, as SaaS or in the cloud. Its 2025 Singapore FinTech Festival exhibitor listing names Société Générale, OTP Group, Bangkok Bank, Permata Bank and ADCB among the banks using its software. Axe Finance is a B2B software vendor and does not lend to the public. Its current headquarters and funding are not documented in the sources we found.
